Quality Pack International, a member of the HELL Group, and the owners of Azerbaijan Investment Company (“AIC”) have signed an agreement to establish a joint venture company QUALITY PACK Caspian LLC (“QPC”).

QPC’s objective is to implement a vertically integrated aluminum beverage can manufacturing and non-alcoholic beverage filling factory for in the Alat Free Economic Zone of Azerbaijan, which can serve as a regional production hub for local and regional beverage brands, either selling empty cans alone or also filling them. The factory is scheduled to start operations in 2025.

With a planned investment amount of $211 million, the QPC factory will manufacture and fill 250 ml, 330 ml and 450 ml aluminum beverage cans. Its annual can production capacity is planned to be between 600-800 million cans and filling capacity between 300-400 million cans, depending on the size composition. 

In addition to creating a new industry, QPC will bring to Azerbaijan the most advanced technology in the sector, as well as valuable and sought-after skills for the workforce and supplier network in the field of modern aluminum beverage can manufacturing and filling technology.

The investment is expected to create ~330 jobs, which will be complemented by additional indirect job creation through various players in the value chain.

Quality Pack International Ltd., a member of the HELL Group, is expected to hold a 51% stake in QPC, while its Azeri partners will hold a 49% stake.
