HELL ENERGY has just opened its newest production line

Szikszó, July 19, 2019. – The Szikszó plant of the Hungarian-owned company HELL ENERGY has been expanded with a new production line thanks to which the complex’s filling capacity has increased from 4,5 million cans a day to 7 million. The investment received support from the state due to the company’s dynamic development and the continual increase in their export markets.

HELL ENERGY, producing the market-leading HELL energy drinks, XIXO iced teas, and carbonated soft drinks as well as HELL Energy Coffees, has become an unequivocal role-player internationally as well as domestically. The brand was established in 2004 and rose to the top of the Hungarian market at record speed. Today, it is present on 5 continents and over 50 countries.

The company has a unique combination when it comes to the energy drink and soft drink sector, it is the only company with a brand that leads the market in several countries at once, has its own bottling plant along with a state-of-the-art aluminum can manufacturing plant. The logistical background of the factory complex, among the most modern in Europe, also reflects HELL ENERGY’s dedication to quality and innovation:  in 2019, the company opened a high bay warehouse capable of storing and moving 31000 pallets.

The current investment, which has received state support, is a new milestone in the life of the company. The opening of the fourth bottling line has not only increased the daily production capacity from 4,5 million to 6 million, but the new line enables the plant to fill 330 ml and 500 ml cans apart from the original 250 ml ones.

“As regards hygiene and filling technology, the Szikszó line is the world’s most modern canning line as well as being the fastest in Central Europe. The machine is capable of filling 120 thousand aluminum cans per hour. We believe it is important that our dedication to growth and innovation also inspires our environment, this why, apart from manufacturing energy and soft drinks, we have initiated several development projects in our region,“ said Barnabás Csereklye, CEO of HELL ENERGY Magyarország Kft.

Over the past 8 years, the company has invested 220 million euros undertaking to create 320 new jobs with their latest and actually meeting this goal ahead of time. This is especially important when investments made toward the creation of jobs are made in underprivileged regions such as the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County area.

Mihály Varga, the Hungarian Minister of Finance himself took part in the opening ceremony. In his speech, he emphasized: “The story of HELL is an example of how, with good business development, Hungarian firms can achieve the quality, efficiency, and size with which they may leave their country’s mark on the world economy. The company’s current investments, as well as those of the past few years, have contributed to the government’s aim of ensuring that Hungary’s economic development is regionally balanced.”

The Hungarian government contributed 50% of the 2 billion investment. Installation of the new bottling line began in May, the manufacturing of sellable products has been ongoing since July and the trial run will continue all the way to the end of August.
