Attila Tassi competing in TCR Europe

Budapest, March 14, 2018,  No more guessing, tour car racing fans can be sure that Attila Tassi will be at the starting lines of the TCR Europe race series in 2018 as an official test pilot of  JAS Motorsport in his brand new  Honda Civic TCR. With the continued support of HELL ENERGY, he will once again be competing in HELL Racing Team colors.

There was a lot of guessing as to what last year’s TCR International Series silver medalist, Attila Tassi will be up to next. There was a barrage of news items about his former team, but whether he would continue his career as a tour car racer was a bit of a mystery. Despite all uncertainty, his sponsor, HELL ENERGY stood by the talented Hungarian pilot and so, the energy drink producer continues to support the young competitor this year also.

The silence has been broken; in their official statement,  JAS Motorsport has let the public know of the good news, this week, Tassi signed his contract with the manufacturer, making him the team’s official test pilot. The TCR Europe race series, newly expanded as a part of the pilot program will see the 18-year-old at the starting line and aid the development of the Honda Civic. Although his team is unknown as of yet, Tassi’s place in the series is certain.

“I am so happy we chose Attila Tassi as the test driver for our  Honda Civic TCR program. I find it impressive that a teenager with such little experience was able to outdo the world’s best tour car racers and come in second at the  TCR International Series last year. At JAS Motorsport, not only are we able to help foster his talent, but his abilities will be invaluable to us for further developing the car. We are in negotiations with client teams and the race program will also be announced shortly,” said Mads Fisher, project leader of  JAS Motorsport TCR.

“I am so excited to compete in TCR Europe as a test pilot for JAS Motorsport. I am especially glad to have the continued support of HELL ENERGY this season. I’m looking forward to the new challenges ahead and will strive to do all I can to succeed. First place was so close last year, but this year I hope to make it to the top of the
